Haiti has been through many naturals and social-political disasters for many years. In January 2010 a magnitude of 7.5 earthquake devastated Port au Prince killing around 300,000 individuals followed by many Tropical Storms.
On August 14, 2021 once more an earthquake of 7.2 magnitude struck the South of Haiti killing around 3,000 people and injured 15,000. The day after the earthquake a Tropical Storms hit the country added to the suffering of the people, leaving many without food, shelter, water, and almost everything they possessed are gone.
The political and the socioeconomic disasters in Haiti are the results of the government Corruption, and the Private Sector holding complete control of the Capital Market, and key financial resources of the country.
Corruption is a threat for Social Stability in Haiti. Corruption creates poor to none economic development, increases unemployment, buries the country deeper in poverty, creates gang violence and kidnappings.
Of course we can bring back Haiti to its normal state by creating an equity action framework implemented by trusted and reputable organizations with sustainable and effective social programs in addition to Equitable Educational System to equip young individuals with necessary knowledge and skills to get them involved in the economic development of the country.
Helping to make people's lives better is a worthy course of action that can make the World a better place. GET INVOLVED!!!
